Introduction to Fused Glass

This one day taster course gives you a hands-on introduction to the wonderful world of fused glass. During this relaxed workshop you will learn how to cut and layer glass to make your own coaster, sun- catcher, small bowl and trinket dish in a variety of opal and transparent glass.

Over coffee and cake we will look at the basics of fused glass, kiln processes, accessory glass products and how to use them. We will learn about the effects of temperature on glass and how to use the kiln to achieve a variety of surfaces and shapes.

No previous experience required, all tuition, tools and safety equipment will be provided. Using a range of Bullseye Glass products.

A delicious cold buffet lunch of sandwiches, cake and fruit is included with tea and coffee available throughout the day. Please contact Rachel with any dietary requirements (e.g. gluten free, vegetarian, etc.).

After the workshop your pieces will be fired and available for collection from the studio by appointment. Work can be posted out- additional charges will apply.

Family Fused Glass

A friendly drop in fused glass session making suncatchers and coasters. Suitable for ages 4 -104, no previous experience required - no unaccompanied children. 

£5 for each item made, refreshments included. Drop in any time between 10 and 3.

Fused Glass Beyond the Basics - Glass Clocks

Delve into the fascinating world of fused glass and create a stunning fused glass clock. Learn how to cut and shape glass, how to get different effects and how a glass kiln works. choose from a rainbow of colours in sheet and accessory glass to achieve different effects. Make either a round or square clock face with a radio controlled movement- which uses a radio signal to always tell the right time. Price includes all materials, tuition, firing and buffet lunch. No experience required.
