Introduction to Fused Glass

This one day taster course gives you a hands-on introduction to the wonderful world of fused glass. During this relaxed workshop you will learn how to cut and layer glass to make your own coaster, sun- catcher, small bowl and trinket dish in a variety of opal and transparent glass.

Over coffee and cake we will look at the basics of fused glass, kiln processes, accessory glass products and how to use them. We will learn about the effects of temperature on glass and how to use the kiln to achieve a variety of surfaces and shapes.

No previous experience required, all tuition, tools and safety equipment will be provided. Using a range of Bullseye Glass products.

A delicious cold buffet lunch of sandwiches, cake and fruit is included with tea and coffee available throughout the day. Please contact Rachel with any dietary requirements (e.g. gluten free, vegetarian, etc.).

After the workshop your pieces will be fired and available for collection from the studio by appointment. Work can be posted out- additional charges will apply.
